Who We Are

Guy and Jennifer Solly established JGS Fire Safety Ltd following Guy's retirement from Essex County Fire & Rescue Service after over 30 years of service.

Guy served within Essex operationally as a Firefighter and Officer, and then within the Fire Safety Department as an Inspecting/Enforcing Officer. JGS Fire Safety Ltd are a BAFE Third Party Accredited company, who have been audited by the SSAIB under the BAFE Life Safety Fire Risk Assessment SP205 Scheme.

We are an independent fire safety company, who will only ever recommend the services and remedial works that you require.

Our Team

Our team of Fire Risk Assessors and Fire Engineers continuously update their knowledge and skills to ensure they are up to date with current legislation, British Standards and best practices to ensure the information and guidance provided is relevant to you, your premises and your company.

Guy and individuals within our team of Fire Risk Assessors and Fire Engineers are members of fire safety professional bodies, e.g. the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM), and the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE).

In addition, JGS Fire Safety Ltd are Members of the Fire Protection Association (FPA), the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM), the Structural Timber Association (STA) and now members of Fire Aware (The Moral Identity of Fire Safety).

The JOSCAR Registration Mark is valued by some of the largest purchasers in the defence community and indicates that we have gone through the process required to demonstrate our commitment and credentials.

JOSCAR (the Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register) is a collaborative tool used by the aerospace, defence and security industry to act as a single repository for pre-qualification and compliance information. JOSCAR has determined that as a supplier, we meet aerospace and defence industry standards.
